New additional information on what the producers have rated as “the best Passat ever” have been made available.
One first big advantage of the new car that is already available for purchase in Germany is it’s weight.
The 2015 Volkswagen Passat, weighs up to 85 kg less than the previous model. As far as power goes, no less than 10 direct injection petrol and diesel turbocharged engines will be available for the 2015 Passat.
Accodring to the producers, the engine range includes: 1.4 TSI with 125 HP (92 kW) and 150 HP (110 kW); 1.8 TSI with 180 HP (132 kW); 2.0 TSI with 220 HP (162 kW) and 280 HP (206 kW); 1.6 TDI with 120 HP (88 kW); 2.0 TDI with 150 HP(110 kW), 190 HP (140 kW) and 240 HP (176 kW) and 1.4 TSI plug-in hybrid with 211 HP (155 kW) .
Also good news is that CO2 emissions along with the engines fuel consumptions have been reduced by 20 percent.
Interior features of the 2015 Passat include height adjustment for the front seats, keyless engine start and stop,a front center armrest with storage compartment, automatic post-collision braking and a tyre pressure indicator.
The model will be launched in Europe this year, probably in november. Pricing for Germany is 25,875 EUR ($33,000) for the saloon and 25,950 EUR ($33,123) for the estate.
