The 2015 Ariel Atom 3S has officially been revealed. The new sports car developed by TMI AutoTech will be rolled out only in the United States.
The vehicle is powered by a tuned 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 365 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The engine can be connected to either a six-speed manual transmission or a new Sadev six-speed sequential gearbox with steering column-mounted shifter paddles.
With this powertrain, the Atom 3S is able to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and to run the quarter mile in 10.7 seconds.
The Ariel Atom 3S has received an adjustable traction control system, four-piston brake calipers, adjustable dampers for the suspension and a stainless steel exhaust system. It also benefits from a full glass windscreen and an LCD digital display.
Pricing for the standard Atom 3 starts from $64,500, while the Atom 3S costs no less than $89,750.
