The American car manufacturer has just taken the wraps off its new Charger sedan’s police version, called the Pursuit.
The 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit comes with two engine choices, namely the entry-level 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 rated at 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque and the more powerful 5.7-litre Hemi V8 capable of generating 370 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. The model fitted with the V8 unit is able to hit 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds.
The car comes as standard with a rear-wheel drive layout, but the V8 Pursuit can be ordered with an all-wheel drive.
On the outside, the Charger Pursuit gets a new front fascia, a redesigned hood, revised fenders, a new rear bumper and new headlights with LED daytime running lights. Other highlights include ballistic door panels, 18-inch steel wheels with performance tires, improved brakes and a revised suspension.
Inside, the 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a Uconnect infotainment system with a five-inch display, a column-mounted shifter and a new steering wheel.
