Hyundai has recently rolled out a new luxury compact sedan dubbed Aslan in South Korea, but the vehicle will be available only for the local market. It has already been previewed by the Hyundai AG which was shown to the public at the Busan Motor Show a few months ago.
The Hyundai Aslan benefits from a large grille, projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, an adaptive suspension and double glass layers on the windshield and side windows.
On the interior, the Hyundai Aslan gets leather seats, a premium sound system and an eight-inch display screen along with driver aids such as forward collision warning system, lane departure warning system and blind spot detection system.
The Aslan comes with two engine choices in petrol form– a 3.0-litre unit that generates 270 hp and 229 lb-ft of torque and a 3.3-litre motor rated at 294 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and drive will go to the front wheels only.
The Hyundai Aslan goes on sale in South Korea at a base price of 39.9 million won (approximately 37,000 dollars).
