The next–gen Opel Astra has been spied testing. The car has recently been caught on camera wearing camouflage and showing important progress.
As it is known by now most likely the new Astra will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The car will be offered in hatchback, sedan and estate versions.
Curious to know what novelties the company has prepared for us? Well for the new Opel Astra the exterior arsenal seems to be quite impressive as the next-gen Opel Astra benefits from a special design that is most likely borrowed from the Monza concept. Not only this but the company has decied some changes so now the model runs on the D2XX platform.
Features are quite impressive though the full list still remains a mystery. The new Astra has headlights with full LED technology. While an important weight loss is expected the rear suspension is still unknown.
Basically so far it has been said that the company is planning an upgrade to an independent configuration. Yet lately news show that Opel might use a revised Watts arrangement. The model will be built in Gliwice, Poland and in the UK in Ellesmere Port.
