Those folks living in Australia and looking to drive a fast and powerful hot hatch, should make their deposit right away and buy the gorgeous 2018 Renault R.S. Trophy, already available in dealerships from at least $42,990.
We already know that the all-new Trophy is much lighter, faster and more powerful than the standard R.S., the hot hatch also coming with improved driving capabilities.
In the Land Down Under, the brand-new 2018 Renault R.S. Trophy is available in four colours – Liquid Yellow, Pearl White, Flame Red and Deep Black.
Visually, the car`s new elements go hand in hand with the exterior wraps, and refer to the astonishing 18-inch R.S. black alloys equipped with 205/40 Michelin Super Sport tires, adding as well LED lighting, R.S. sports differential and a few more.
As aforementioned, the new Trophy comes with increased driving capabilities and characteristics, thanks to the new three driving modes – Normal, Sport and Race – with changes to the car`s throttle sensitivity, steering weight and transmission. The new Trophy also comes with stability and launch control.
Inside, the cabin is highlighted by sporty trims and accents, R-Link navigation and multimedia interface on the dashboard, Bose premium sound system with two woofers and Richbass woofer in the boot.
As any respectable Renault R.S., the Trophy`s main attribute is also the power under the hood. The model uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, developing no less than 220 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, available at just 2,000 rpm. The engine is hooked to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with front-wheel drive system.
The power is achieved also thanks to the new titanium Akrapovic exhaust system, updated intake, or turbo boost pressure raised from 0.96 bar to 1.03 bar. This allows for quicker shifts in the Sport mode, with the shift paddles requiring 30 per cent shorter pull for a more impressive throttle response.
