Following a series of spy photos at the beginning of the year, the future 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE is now back into the spotlights in a new spy video, which reveals the testing stage that the hot model is in right now. And by the way it moves and looks, it has surely lose some camouflage, meaning that it is getting ready for its official debut in a couple of months.
As we can depict from the spy video, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE is looking almighty with a massive body style, with improved driving dynamics and capabilities.
The prototype reveals a softer and rounder design language, with curvier shoulder lines and rounded headlights, while the twin-tier grille and centre up front add a more aggressive look.
Also, the test mule is coming with wider wheel arches, while the rear end is seemingly highlighted by a new tailgate which is still kept hidden for the moment. The model is also coming with a roof box on top, designed for storage utility.
Once it will arrive on the market, the all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE will stand on the company`s new MHA platform which replaces the older one. This means lightweight materials all around, increased space inside the cabin, better performance and improved fuel efficiency.
As for performance under the hood, the new GLE will feature a wide range of engines with six-cylinder configurations. All engines will gradually get a hybrid version with a 48-volt electric system. Power and performance figures are not known at the moment.
