The German based company is expanding the availability of new engines with the introduction of the Zafira Tourer 1.6 ecoFLEX.
This seven-seater MPV sports the economical 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine called CDTI ecoFLEX which is one of the quietest diesel on the market. The engine is reported to generate 120 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque.
Featuring a start/stop technology, a brake energy recuperation system and a low-friction six-speed manual transmission, the Zafira Tourer is able to reach a fuel consumption as low as 4.5 litre/100km and CO2 emissions of 119 grams per kilometer. It also complies with future Euro 6 emission standards.
Opel Zafira Tourer 1.6 ecoFLEX is available for order in Germany with a starting price of 26,850 euros including VAT. It is 1,400 euros cheaper than the 136 hp version of the Zafira Tourer.
The new Opel Zafira Tourer is designed to compete directly with Citroen C4 Picasso.
