The brand new Golf race car concept has recently been unveiled by the producer. Volkswagen Motorsport has done a great job on the superb vechicle as you will find out for yourself if you read on.
Volkswagen Motorsport Director Jost Capito stated that “The newly created TCR category provides a promising platform for customer racing – on a national and international level. With exciting races, production-based technology and reasonable costs, it offers a new outlook for private racing teams.”
By far the most impressive part about the car is it’s arsenal that includes an aggressive front fascia with a front splitter, larger air intakes, a rear diffuser, a dual exhaust system and 18-inch racing wheels.
The interior of the car has been redesigned. The brand new Golf race car concept has lost all disposabile elements. From the new gear we mention a racing seat, a roll cage and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel.
Underhood arsenal sounds just perfect as power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that gives 330 PS (243 kW) and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque.
