For specific markets like India, carmakers are trying to develop new models that would best satisfy the customers` needs. In this case, the SP Concept from KIA has just been announced.
One such carmaker that is getting ready to enter the Indian market with a new model is the South Korean Kia with its brand new SP Concept.
The Kia SP Concept has been recently released in a couple of teaser images, prior to its official introduction at the Auto Expo Show taking place in New Delhi, starting with the 7th of February.
As you probably know already, India is now considered one of the largest auto markets in the world, with plenty of carmakers to offer exclusive models; along with such an important development, it was just a matter of time until Kia – also a major automaker today – would tackle the market with new concepts.
Speaking of the carmaker`s introduction of a new model in India, Kia President Han-Woo Park, has also declared during a recent interview:
“All of us at Kia Motors are extremely proud to take our first steps into one of world’s largest automotive markets. And we are here to build more than just great cars. We aim to set a new standard in the Indian auto industry by providing consumers with world-class products and services, while engaging with and giving back to the local community.”
The teaser images below reveal a concept with a ”bold and stylish design” with ”sophisticated beauty, breakthrough technology, and high functionality in a small SUV form” that’s “inspired by Indian heritage and driven by advanced technology.”
Little it is known about the new concept`s design and functionalities inside, but we do have a couple of hints concerning the motorizations it will bring in India. According to recent reports, the Kia SP Concept is set to come with no less than 16 engines, with some plug-in hybrids and EVs carried over from the Stinger model. Stay tuned for future info on the Kia SP Concept in India!
