The Acura TLX sedan is due in dealer showrooms this August 2015, providing drivers with a new and fresh addition to the midsize luxury car segment. Recently, Acura has unveiled its new car model, and as a car enthusiast and an owner of an Acura, I am thrilled to see this newest addition to the line of cars I love.
Fresh Styling Turns Heads
Exterior-wise, the Acura TLX has a more athletic appearance with Jewel Eye LED headlights, low and wide posture, and a diamond Pentagon grille that characterizes Acura. To me, it has rather a modern and sporty look, but do not forget that it is a premium car brand. I quite appreciate the robust stance of the front part and believe it will attract the attention of other motorists.
Increased Performance for an Enjoyable Buzz
One thing that is worth noting is that beneath the hood of the TLX, they have installed some serious pieces of engineering. For the base, it has an inline 4-cylinder with a displacement of 2.4 liters that delivers 206 horsepower, while a 3.5-liter V6 delivers 290 horsepower. The car comes with a new 9-speed transmission system and the drivers of this car should expect a lot of boost in performance. Being an enthusiast of a car that can navigate through the roads in style and at breakneck speed, I find it refreshing that Acura has placed a premium on engine power and technological advancement in the TLX model.
Packed with High-Tech Features
On the inside, it boasts features such as an 8-inch center display, AcuraLink connectivity services, a stellar audio system, and the improved next-generation Acura voice recognition system. There are also safety innovations like collision mitigation braking and lane keeping assist available in the car. To me, such kind of innovation or smart conveniences are definitely the kind that make driving so much more enjoyable.
Pricing and Trim Levels
Initially, the Acura TLX will be offered in three models that include the standard, V6, and A-Spec packages. LX trim comes with $30,995, Technology Package at $35,220, and Advance Package at $39,740. Considering that automobiles are those with the looks and power associated with luxury vehicles, I consider those beginning prices quite affordable. I anticipate that the value proposition offered by Acura will entice many new customers to the 2015 Acura TLX.
My Take: This appears as an exciting new option to the players and one that is highly likely to be taken up due to the many incentives associated with it.
Given that the new generation of the 2015 Acura TLX is now in development and set to hit the market soon, Acura has all the reasons to make strong sales in midsize luxury sedan market. As for me, and other lovers of technology, comfort and stupendous performance, the Acura TLX seems to put forward a new prospect to consider for test drive this summer. It must be nice to see these new Acura sedans with those acute angles on the roads!
