Great news from Mercedes this week. Not exactly easy to miss, the bombastic Mercedes S600 Pullman has been spied testing. With a bullet and grenade proof heavy steel bodyshell, this version could exceed five tonnes and cost over £500,000.
One thing is for sure. The Pullman is not designed for tight urban stressts. Why would we say such a thing? The answer lies in the car’s length. The new Mercedes S600 is no less than 6.4 metres long.

Changes have been made to the car’s design. Comparing the car spotted and the official patent drawing released in August, it is easy to notice the full-size middle doors that match the front and back ones in length.
This confirms the expectation that the Pullman will have three rows of seats. Probably this will translate into a luxurious 2-2-2 configuration.

Inspite of certain rumours, the limo did not turn out to be sporty, as expected. The new S600 will have an adaptation of the 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 currently fitted to the S600.

That engine makes 523bhp but an increase is power is quite possible.
