As we already know the S – Class Maybach is scheduled to make debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.New important information about the car has recently been made available. The entry-level model is expected to cost approximately $200,000.
Wondering if the new S-Class Maybach will be fast and furious? Well, power will be provided by a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 530 PS (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) of torque.
And this is not the only option spoken of. There could also be a variant which uses the S65 AMG’s twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 630 PS (463 kW).
As we take a good look at the car one first change is related to the car’s length. As the S – Class Maybach is set to slot above the S600, the car will be approximately 10 inches longer than the long-wheelbase model.
Wondering what the extra length is needed for? Well, it will be quite usefull to rear seat passengers as it will translate into more confort. Also, the change in length will bring longer rear doors and a revised C-pillar.
And changes are said to continue. So you can expect the new Mercedes to feature exclusive technology, reclining rear seats and enhanced infotainment features for rear seat passengers.
