The third-generation Chevrolet Sail has been unveiled during the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show. The model in question is expected to go on sale in China by the end of the year.
Chevrolet’s entry-level sedan has a 1.4-inch longer wheelbase and a trunk capacity of 366 litres, while the overall length and width have also increased. The vehicle features a wide dual port grille, sweptback headlights and redesigned taillights.
Power figures are yet to be confirmed, but we know that the Chevrolet Sail 3 comes with 2 petrol engine choices – a 1.5-litre DVVT engine and a 1.3-litre VVT unit. Both engines can be coupled to a manual or an automatic transmission with start/stop function. According to official reports, the combined fuel consumption stands as low as 5.3 l/100km.
On the inside, the Chevrolet Sail 3 benefits from a dual-cockpit design, a flowing instrument panel, a dual-mode sunroof and sculped seats.
The Sail 3 debuted at this year’s Guangzhou Motor Show along with other Chevrolet models, such as Camaro RS Limited Edition and Corvette Stingray Coupe.
