Volkswagen has unveiled the Golf GTI Clubsport for the joy of car fans all around the world that have been kept waiting thanks to teaser images showing the interesting vehicle. As you know by now the car will have it’s official debut tomorrow at the Wörthersee GTI Meeting.
To give you a short background information on the Golf GTI Clubsport we must state the car was produced to celebrate the Golf GTI’s 40th anniversary. In terms of design the new Golf stands out thanks to it’s inovative design and aggressive body.
And the impress arsenal doesn’t stop here as the car benefits from 19-inch alloys which can be changed with 18 inch ones for the road version.
Under hood arsenal sound good too and to ilustrate we must start with a comparison. The most powerful Golf GTI available now is the Performance that gives no less than 230 PS (169 kW) thanks to the 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Golf GTI Clubsport provides 265 PS (195 kW).
Though no numers regarding power have been revealed it’s safe to say the Golf GTI Clubsport will be faster than the Golf GTI Performance. As a reminder the Performance takes the 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 6.4 seconds and has a maximum speed of no less than 155 mph (250 km/h).
