The official replacement of the VW Passat CC, the all-new 2018 Arteon, is the Group`s newest model that gets to enjoy plenty of fame and appreciation from both the public and the media.
Recently, the model has been introduced on the United Kingdom market, with prices to start from £34,305 and going all the way up to £39,955 for the R-Line variant.
Technology wise, the 2018 VW Arteon is state of the art, coming with the latest gizmos and applications, adding as well the most advanced safety systems.
One particular gizmo that has caught my attention is the Discover Navigation system with an eight-inch colour touchscreen with plenty of apps, adding as well Bluetooth audio and telephone connectivity, Volkswagen Media Control with remote control for the infotainment system.
Other high-end features also refer to the 12.3-inch Active Info Display, Car-Net connectivity with “Guide & Inform”, “Security & Service” or “App-Connect”.
The safety systems comprise Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with predictive cruise control, Front Assist and Speed Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist, Driver Alert fatigue warning system, and City Emergency Braking.
Visually, the new 2018 VW Arteon looks futuristic with the LED self-levelling headlights and LED tinted rear light clusters with dynamic indicators, adding as well the standard 18-inch alloy wheels.
In the engine department, the new Arteon is equipped with three turbocharged direct injection engines, equipping the two Elegance and R-Line variants. We are looking here at a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine with 280 horsepower, followed by two 2.0-liter TDI diesels, with 240 horsepower and 150 horsepower, respectively.
