The Hydraulic Semi-Active Roll Control Suspension – A Marvel of Engineering

One of the standout features found in the 2025 G 63 is the AMG semi-active roll control suspension. This advanced technology has been adapted from the SL and AMG GT models. The system effectively handles compression and rebounds individually at each corner of the vehicle. Its innovative design connects all corners of the car resulting in improved valve control precision. Unlike its predecessor’s suspension, this new suspension offers a range between comfort and off-road performance.

Finding the Perfect Balance Between Comfort and Off-road Capability

While some traditionalists may not perceive this as a revolutionary step, the new suspension system actually provides a range of features that allow drivers to find their desired level of comfort or off-road capability. The G 63 aims to enhance wheel articulation, traction, and body control. Notably, this semi-active suspension system promises a tilt during turns addressing an area where refinement was needed for urban driving situations.

Powertrain – Blending Power with Efficiency

Embracing Mild Hybrid Technology

Beneath its hood, it is expected that the G 63 will inherit the setup featured in the GLE 63 4Matic model. This configuration includes a turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 engine accompanied by a 48-volt motor generator.

The powertrain of this vehicle is truly impressive as it boasts an output of 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. It surpasses its predecessor by 26 horsepower and one pound-foot of twist in terms of performance.

There have been rumors circulating about variations and performance options for this car. Some suggest that non-AMG models might opt for the Mercedes 3.0 liter inline six engine of the V8. Both the ICE G and EV G versions are expected to share design elements, such as a more curved front end aimed at improving fuel efficiency and electric range. As for the G 63 model, this one promises a driving experience that combines power, efficiency, and a touch of innovation.

Introducing the Grand Edition – A Celebration of Luxury and Exclusivity

A Marvelous Limited Edition Offering

In addition to the G 63 model, Mercedes is also introducing the Grand Edition as a run version that will undoubtedly captivate automotive enthusiasts worldwide. With 1,000 units, this edition guarantees a unique aesthetic that sets it apart from other vehicles.

2025 Mercedes AMG G63 Grand Edition 1

Exterior Sophistication and Interior Opulence

The Grand Edition boasts an exterior adorned with Manufaktur Night Black Magno paint complemented by eye-catching Kalahari Gold Magno accents. This distinctive gold finish can be seen on elements like bumper inlays, the AMG logo, and specially crafted 22-inch forged wheels. Inside the vehicle`s cabin, you’ll find a black interior elevated with gold accents and stitching to create an exquisite ambiance.

2025 Mercedes AMG G63 Grand Edition 2

Although specific information for the U.S. Market is still undisclosed, it is expected that the Grand Edition will be released as a 2024 model. Given its availability of 1,000 units worldwide, this edition is likely to come at a higher price point enhancing the G 63 experience to unprecedented levels.

Final Thoughts: A G-Class Revolution

The 2025 Mercedes-AMG G63 is not just a simple update, it is a testimony of the company`s dedication to luxury and innovation. With the implementation of the semi-active suspension system on the car and the introduction of the Grand Edition variant, this Mercedes-AMG redefines the boundaries of what a genuine off-roader can achieve: raw power, luxury interior, and state-of-the-art mechanics.
