With bespoke design upgrades, this refreshed model carves out its character promising something for supermini enthusiasts as it prepares to make its debut in the UK in March.

The exterior enhancements are clearly visible with a stand-out bumper and grille shape, along with a redesigned rear boot lid. Mazda has meticulously crafted an identity that distinguishes the 2024 Mazda 2 Hybrid from both its predecessor and its Yaris counterpart. This refreshed design is a testament to Mazda’s dedication to providing consumers with choices in a market that has seen some notable models disappear.

Trims and Prices

The Center Line trim, starting at £24,130, marks the beginning of a range that comes equipped with an array of features, including 15-inch alloy wheels, automatic high beam headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and a convenient reversing camera.

If you opt for the Exclusive Line priced at £25,380, you can enjoy luxury features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, power folding door mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, push-button start, blind spot monitoring, and keyless entry.

For a step up in sophistication, the Homura trim is available starting from £27,280. It includes 17-inch wheels LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, tinted windows, a seven-inch customizable driver’s display screen, and synthetic leather sport seats.

For those seeking sophistication in their driving experience, there’s also the Homura Plus trim available at £29,230. It offers a sunroof and a 12.3-inch central driver display screen that features a hybrid system indicator. The car also comes equipped with a 10.25-inch screen with integrated satellite navigation and voice assistant capabilities. An upgraded sound system and a head-up display add a touch of luxury to this top-tier trim level.

Power and Engine Under the Hood

Underneath its hood lies the Mazda 2 Hybrid’s reliable powertrain inherited from the Toyota Yaris. It combines a 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine with a self-charging system for both efficiency and performance purposes.

This powerful pair generates 114bhp allowing the Mazda 2 Hybrid to accelerate from 0 62mph in 9.7 seconds. This means achieving a fuel economy of 74.3mpg according to WLTP standards while keeping CO2 emissions limited to 87g/km.

2024 Mazda 2 Hybrid 4

To cater to preferences, the Mazda 2 Hybrid offers a choice of driving modes. The “Normal mode” strikes a balance between fuel efficiency, quietness, and dynamic performance. The “Power mode” unleashes power when required, while the “Eco drive mode” maximizes fuel efficiency. Additionally, the “EV mode” enables the Mazda to run on power alone for long distances and at low speeds providing a versatile driving experience.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, considering the range of superminis available today the 2024 Mazda 2 Hybrid stands out as a choice that combines familiarity with innovation. By offering both a revised version of the Mazda 2 Hybrid and their generation Mazda 2 model, Mazda demonstrates its commitment to meeting customers’ diverse needs.

2024 Mazda 2 Hybrid 5

With changing tastes and models that come and go, Mazda stands out in its approach as it offers a range of choices to cater to customers allowing them to join the hybrid movement without sacrificing style, performance, or their own unique identity. The 2024 Mazda 2 Hybrid presents an opportunity to explore the future of cars where efficiency seamlessly blends with eye-catching aesthetics.
