The new Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo has debuted at the Quail Motorsports Gathering. It is a supercar specifically designed for racing and is based on the road-going Huracan. Both street and racing Huracans will eventually replace the old Gallardo.
The race-spec car weighs 250 kg less than the standard Huracan through the use of carbon fiber and aluminum and has received aerodynamic enhancements as well as performance upgrades.
On the outside, Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo gets a redesigned front fascia with a large front splitter, additional cooling vents, bigger air intakes and reworked side skirts. Other noticeable highlights include Pirelli racing tyres, a 10-position adjustable rear wing and an impressive diffuser. On the inside, it features a single racing bucket and race-specification steering wheel.
Under the hood sits a 5.2-litre ten-cylinder engine that generates 620 horsepower, teamed with a seven-speed transmission. The supercar will be available only with rear-wheel drive setup.
Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo costs about 300,000 dollars and the owners will have to pay additional fees per race to compete in the Blancpain racing series.
