The second-generation BMW X5 M and X6 M have received a couple of interesting visual tweaks to match the impressive performance upgrades.
The models share the same front end design featuring large air intakes and wider front bumpers. There are two new paint colours available – Long Beach Blue Metallic and Donington Grey Metallic. The X5 M has the body style of a sport utility vehicle while the X6 M’s sloping roofline contributes to a sleeker profile.
The performance crossovers benefit from side gills, new wing mirrors, an improved suspension setup, a revised quad exhaust system, a rear diffuser and high-performance compound brakes with large six-piston calipers finished in Dark Blue metallic and carrying a familiar M logo. The X6 M also gets a small decklid spoiler.
The new cars are equipped with 20-inch light alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres as standards, but 21-inch forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport UHP tyres are offered as optional.
The cabin boasts exclusive materials, an M leather steering wheel with aluminum gearshift paddles and aluminum gear lever as well as electrically operated multi-function seats. The list of options include different trims such as Merino full-leather.
