Kia has officially introduced the KX3 concept during the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show. The concept vehicle is influenced in styling by the Hyundai ix25 and is believed to preview a production version which might be sold in China sometime in 2015.
The Kia KX3 concept measures 4,260mm in length, 1,765mm in width and 1,730mm in height while its wheelbase is 2,590mm long. The car offers a boot capacity of 400 litres.
The Kia KX3 concept features the company’s tiger nose grille, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. The compact SUV also boasts an improved chassis which helped it achieve a five-star rating in the C-NCAP programme.
Inside the cabin, the KX3 concept reportedly comes with automatic climate control, a start/stop button, a cruise control, side airbags and heated seats. Other highlights include rear air vents, a panoramic sunroof and a rearview camera.
Under the bonnet there is a 1.6-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine and power goes to all wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
