Last weekend, a lot of hot and cool rides have found their new owners at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. However, most of the proceeds went to different charity organizations. Two exquisite Corvettes were also sold last weekend in Scottsdale.
We are dealing here with a 2019 Corvette ZR1 sold for $925K, as well as an exceptional and rare Carbon 65 Edition signed by former President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, with a staggering price of $1.4M. The proceeds also went to military charities that support man and women of US armed forces.
Speaking of military charities, Steve Hill, GM vice president of US Sales and Service, have declared that: “GM and Chevrolet are proud to honor and support the brave men and women of our armed forces. Thanks to the generosity of two of our dealers, John Staluppi and Rick Hendrick, we will be able to offer additional support to some of our most severely wounded veterans through the Bush Center Military Service Initiative and the Siller Foundation Building for America`s Bravest effort-both extremely worthy organizations.”
Starting with the 2019 Corvette ZR1, the hot model was purchased by Rick Hendrick, president of Hendrick Automotive Group. All the money went to Towers Foundation which supports wounded veterans.
On the other hand, the Corvette Carbon 65 Edition sports car was bought by John Saluppi who owns Atlantic Automotive Group, with the proceeds going the the Bush Center`s Military Service Initiative, which ensures “post 9/11 veterans and their families make successful transitions to civilian life, with a focus on gaining meaningful employment and overcoming the invisible wounds of war.”
Both superhot Corvettes are detailed in two exceptional video presentations below: “2019 Corvette ZR1 Dubai Unveiling” and “2018 Corvette Carbon 65 by Geroge W. Bush”. Enjoy the ride and don’t forget to share your impressions with us!
