The British luxury carmaker has officially confirmed that a new Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe is currently under development. A prototype of this upcoming model has been spied more than once undergoing tests. The vehicle is scheduled to be revealed in mid-2016. It will become the sixth member of the Rolls-Royce range.
Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe is expected to benefit from several styling tweaks which will help it stand out from the crowd. It is also reported to offer amazing driving experience.
The spy shots indicate that the new Drophead tourer may get a folding hard top and a lower rear deck lid along with a shorter trunk lid.
Under the hood, Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe is supposed to come with a twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 engine that is capable of producing a whopping 624 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. With this powertrain, the car will likely be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.
Pricing of Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe is said to start at around 250,000 GBP ($422,000).
