The upcoming Alfa Romeo Giulia, dubbed “Tipo 952”, has recently been spotted wearing a Maserati Ghibli body. The vehicle in question will hit the global market as a replacement for the 159 model.
Little is known about the design of the 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia, but this car model will probably draw styling cues from the Alfa Romeo Gloria Concept that was released last year by a group of students at the European Design Institute in collaboration with the Alpha Styling Center.
Alfa Romeo’s new Giulia benefits from 17-inch alloy wheels, a dual exhaust tailpipes and a steering wheel borrowed from Jeep.
On the mechanical front, this Alfa Romeo Giulia will be available with a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel units, including the V6 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine producing somewhere between 480 and 520 bhp which will probably power the top end model GTA. The car will be offered with a rear-wheel drive system. Nothing is official, but the transmission might be a dual-clutch unit.
Alfa Romeo Giulia is expected to make public debut in 2015.
