The Japanese carmaker has issued the first teaser photo for its new C-HR Concept. The vehicle in question is slated to be showcased next month at the Paris Motor Show.
The image doesn’t reveal much, apart from the slender high-mounted headlights, the angular LED taillights, the rakish windscreen and the roof-mounted rear spoiler. The car may also feature a sloping roofline.
Details are limited for the moment, but the compact crossover shows a new design language and benefits from a hybrid powertrain which may be borrowed from the upcoming Toyota Prius. The car will likely be available in both two- and four-wheel drive versions.
Reports indicate that the C-HR is directly related to the Auris Cross prototype that was spied just a little while ago. It is believed to sit under the more utilitarian RAV4.
It hasn’t been confirmed if a production version of the C-HR is in the works, but if green-lighted, it will not be launched sooner than 2017.
