Peugeot 308 R HYbrid has been unveiled recently. As a reminder the car drew inspiration from the 308 R concept and the Quartz concept. The new Peugeot is described by the car maker as “a family hatchback which is capable of supercar performance”. No less that four driving models will be available. They are The Hot Lap, the Track mode, the Road and the ZEV.
The new Hybrid sounds promising as it comes with aggressive styling that provides widened fenders, 19-inch wheels and large air intakes. By far the superb car stands out thanks to the blue-black paint job.
Being a hybrid the new Peugeot combines no less than three sources of power. And the best news is yet to come as each of these devices can move the vehicle independently. Basically the new 308 R Hybrid will come with a four-cylinder 1.6-liter THP petrol engine and two electric motors.
The motors will have no less than 115 PS and will help provide a four-wheel drive. The ingenious combination gives no less than 500 PS (368 kW) and 730 Nm (539 lb-ft) of torque.
And to provide more technical details it’s time we tell you that the 308 R HYbrid can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds. And last but not least, the superb car has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) while CO2 emissions stay at 70 g/km.
