Mercedes has unveiled the Concept GLC Coupe. In light of official information the model will premiere tomorrow at the Auto Shanghai in China.
The company has explained several times that the GLC Coupe is a “near-production-standard study”, that promises a car that will compete with the BMW X4, a car that Mercedes competition is planning. The much talked about Concept GLC Coupe will look more or less like a miniature GLE Coupe.
Under hood arsenal is by far one of the most appealing features of the car. The Concept runs on a V6 bi-turbo 3.0-liter engine that offers 367 PS (270 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) between 1,400 rpm and 4,000 rpm. It is also important to mention that the motor has a nine-speed automatic transmission.
As far as technical details go the Concept is no less than 4.73 meters long and has a 2.83-meter wheelbase. The daring aspect is boosted by the large 21-inch alloy wheels, full LED headlights, solar-beam paint, sloping roofline and recessed door handles.
Among the elements borrowed from the GLE Coupe we count the quad stainless steel exhaust pipes and LED taillights.
