The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show is opening its gates next week on September 12, and plenty of manufacturers are already making the final preparations before heading to the event with their new prototypes and models.
The Italian supercar maker Lamborghini will arrive in Frankfurt with the 2018 Aventador S Roadster, with the first details to surface the web just some time ago.
We are dealing here with the convertible variant of the already launched 2018 Aventador S, an astonishing supercar with rather the same characteristics as the coupe sibling.
The S Roadster stands out from the crowd with a new exterior body wrap – Blu Aegir – with the interior being fitted with Blue Delphinus with Bianco Polar trim.
Even if we are dealing here with a convertible, the new 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster handles extremely well and sits perfectly balanced on the roads, and that thanks to the new active rear-wheel steering, which is a premiere on a Lambo model.
The new system increases the S Roadster`s stability in tight corners, as it shortens the wheelbase by 500m at low speeds and it extends it by 70mm at high speeds.
Performance wise, the new S Roadster is equipped with the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, developing 544 kW and 690 Nm of torque. This allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, at a top speed of 350 km/h. The coupe on the other hand, runs the same straight line in 3.0 seconds.
