The fan’s favorite 2021 Toyota Hilux is expected to be produced by the end of this year with sales to be started early next year. The Hilux truck is one of the best 4×4 vehicles that have been manufactured and put on the market with the current models being among the best in the market. But this year, it appears that the looks of Hilux will be similar to that of its relation to the Toyota Tacoma.
Both the trucks have a different design philosophy but Toyota has decided to bring the Hilux closer to the Tacoma in terms of looks. Milele Motors, an export company, recently released photos of the Toyota Hilux claiming it as the 2021 model. If the photos are true we are set to see a Toyota Hilux get a wide Tacoma style grille. The mid-vents are slightly different but they are only evident on closer inspection. The headlights are surrounded by a black tint much like what we see in the Tacoma.
Toyota will reportedly offer two headlight options with the lower trim Hilux getting a halogen/LED option and the premium trim getting full LED lights. The taillights have also been upgraded in tandem with the other features of the truck.
The Japanese automaker likes to make things interesting for their customers and as such, they will be offering striking colors such as orange, blue, bronze, and red. That will be on top of the base colors already offered.
According to the gossips, the 2021 Toyota Hilux facelift may have the platform borrowed from the Tacoma and the Tundra models. If the rumors are to be believed, then it may be that all the different trucks which Toyota is selling may have much in common. Recently, Toyota has used TNGA to reduce costs and the complexity of constructing vehicles; therefore, it is possible that TNGA is also planned for pickup trucks.
Thus, all the aforesaid is not yet final until Toyota releases the final features and the release date of the 2021 Toyota Hilux.
