America’s first all-electric supercar, the brand new Renovo Coupe, has officially been unveiled during the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The sports car is based on the Shelby American CSX 9000 and benefits from a couple of styling tweaks.
2015 Renovo Coupe weighs 1,474 kg and features a revised suspension system, adjustable dampers, Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and custom gauges.
The vehicle is powered by two sequential axial flux motors which generate a total output of more than 500 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. The Renovo Coupe is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and to reach a top speed of more than 193 km/h.
Renovo Motors claims that when the battery is depleted, the recharge takes almost 5 hours or 30 minutes with the help of a rapid charger.
The company has already begun accepting orders on the Renovo Coupe. However, deliveries will not start sooner than 2015 and the production is limited. The car is expected to cost 529,000 dollars.
