The all-new Volkswagen Jetta may not be the carmaker`s top notch sedan, but it is definitely a pretty cool ride designed for family chores and daily commuting. And in the United States, the model looks even better and seemingly drives smoother, thanks to a new TSI engine.
The all-new 2019 VW Jetta costs just $18,545 in the United States, which makes it pretty available for the average Americans, particularly since it also offers an improved design, new high-tech gadgets and more powerful engines.
Once arriving in the US dealerships in the second quarter, the new Jetta will come in four trim levels – S, SE, SEL and SEL Premium, each adding a suite of different features at the interior.
At the exterior, the new VW Jetta looks exquisite and bolder with short overhangs and curved lines, all enhancing a more aggressive attitude on the road.
The interior of the 2019 Jetta is also improved, coming with better materials, 400-watt Beats Audio system, panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated leather seats, ten-colour ambient lighting and the carmaker`s new Digital Cockpit with a suite of high-tech gizmos.
As for safety, in the United States the new 2019 Jetta is equipped with rather the same features as its European counterpart – Front Assist, Lane Assist and Light Assist, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, as well as a high-performance Automatic Post-Collision Braking System.
As for performance and torque, the good news is that overseas the new 2019 Jetta is equipped with a fuel-efficient 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI engine with direct injection, developing 147 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The power is sent to the front via a standard six-speed manual transmission. However, American drivers can also opt for an eight-speed automatic transmission with Start/Stop feature.
