For some time, German companies, Audi and BMW are in constant competition in terms of electric cars. If the Bavarians from BMW have launched the “i” series, Audi did not let the overwhelmed and have recently launched a new electric model, Audi A3 e-tron. This model is nothing different than a normal Audi A3 when it comes to the outside, but inside it distinguishes by the changed control panel, leather upholstery and an optimized cooling system.
The engine has a power of 60 kW, 82 hp and 270 Nm, but also an overboost function that increases the power of 100 kW and 136 horsepower. The car is powered by 30 batteries mounted under trunk and can be used for 140 km before recharging needed. You can recharge from a regular socket in 9 hours or from an industrial socket in 4 hours.
The car can reach 100 km in 11.2 seconds and has three driving modes for the driver: normal, efficient and dynamic. If dynamic mode is chosen, the maximum number of kilometers made at a charge is reduced while if efficient mode is chosen, the car offers its maximum 145 kilometers on a charge.
