The Italians at Lamborghini might as well come to motor shows with a car they made 20 years ago. They’d still have queues of people trying to snap a photo of it.
Happily though, they don’t do things that way and will come to the Geneva Motor Show next week with something that’s nothing if not astonishing.
Called the Lamborghini Aventador J Speedster it’s an open top version of the company’s newest and most impressive V12 supercar.
Well, not really. The Lamborghini Aventador J Speedster has nothing to do with the upcoming convertible version of the Italian supercar.
They do share some minor bits like the chassis, engine, gearbox, suspension setup and so on but they are different.
Mostly because as far as we know, the Lamborghini Aventador J Speedster is only built to make us go wow, in expectation of another open top sensation that they will actually sell.
Regardless, so far we’ve got two photos leaked courtesy of AutoForum.cz and as we wait for the full unveil we just know it’s going to be epic.
The front end is more aggressive than ever, the rear goes for the same and the wheels seem to resemble the intake fans on a jet engine.
How cool is that? Probably about as cool as the way the two seats are separated by a bright red piece of body work.
Could Lamborghini now release more photos of the Aventador J Speedster? Certainly, the cat’s out of the bag.
Will they? Not likely.
