The upcoming BMW 7-Series long-wheelbase version has been spied in disguise while being driven on public roads. The car is the next generation of BMW’s range-topping model.
This BMW 7-Series is built on the new G11/G12 platform and is influenced, in styling, by the Vision Future Luxury concept.

The future BMW 7-Series limousine is said to make use of lightweight materials such as aluminum and carbon fiber to a large extent, thus managing to drop up to 200 kg comparing to the previous version. It also features a revised body kit and will be offered with laser headlights as optional.

The engine lineup for the 2016 BMW 7-Series includes a 3.0-litre and a 4.0-litre V8 unit, as well as a V8 4.4-litre twin-turbo powering the higher-spec variant. Word has it that the vehicle will also be available with the new four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine.

The new BMW 7-Series is expected to be introduced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and sales will begin in 2016.
