The new Volkswagen Touran will go on the market soon as the car maker has finally established the price for Germany. VW fans might be pleased to know the new Touran that made it’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show will cost €23,350 in Germany.
The car impressed thanks to an evolutionary design and a larger footprint that makes it 130 mm longer than the old model. Basically the new Touran has a 113 mm longer longer wheelbase and a 1,040 liters trunk. And super changes don’t stop here as the new Volkswagen also comes with a decrease in weight.
Actually the vehicle is is 62 kg (136 lbs) lighter thanks to the MQB platform used also on the Golf VII. And since every driver has it’s own preferences it is important to mention that the new Touran can come with the latest generation infotainment system with support for Android Auto, CarPlay and MirrorLink, optional full LED headlights and tri-zone automatic climate control system.
The new Touran is available with a 120 PS 1.2 TSI paired to a six-speed manual or a 150 PS 1.4 TSI turbocharged engine. List of options also includes diesel such as a Euro 6 compliant 110 PS 1.6 TDI and a 150 PS 2.0 TDI.
It is also important to mention that while the entry-level Touran 1.2 TSI Trendline kicks costs €23,350 the 2.0 TDI DSG Highline can be bought for €35,425.
