1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider Is Up for Grabs in Arizona

RM Sotheby`s, also former known as RM Auctions, has been auctioning classic and luxury cars since 1991, with the main headquarter located in Bergheim – Ontario, Canada.

However, the company also holds different branches in the United States. One particular is situated in Arizona and has recently announced the auctioning of a classic Alfa Romeo edition.

It is about the 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider, a limited edition, part of a production lot slotted between 1935 and 1952.

The vintage model will be heading for auction at RM Sotheby`s in Arizona starting with January 18th, and has an expected starting price of $900,000. Price could go up as high as $1.1 million.

We don’t have any history records whatsoever of this classic 6C 250 SS Spider, but we can fill you in with some specifications instead, concerning the exterior and engine under the hood.

As you can see in the media gallery below, this 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider comes with an astonishing design, highlighted by two large circular headlights and black wheels which perfectly complement the red and black paintjob.

As for the interior, it seems that it has been completely restored, featuring a two-seat configuration with black theme, which also complements the exterior.

From recent researches, we could find out that in the engine department, this 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Spider it uses a 2.4-liter inline six-cylinder pot, the same one found on the rest of the 6C lineup. It the SS, this particular configuration outputs around 110 horsepower.
