According to latest reports, the Italian based carmaker Alfa Romeo is currently working on a high-end model dubbed 6C. The vehicle in question will be based on the Maserati Alfieri concept car which was already showcased at the Geneva Motor Show and confirmed for production in 2016.
The front-engine coupe will slot above the 4C and is likely to adop a sportier look. The car will receive a tear-drop shaped side glass, a prominent front grille and slender LED headlights along with other familiar Alfa Romeo features.
Power for the upcoming Alfa Romeo 6C will probably be given by a Maserati-sourced twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine capable of producing somewhere between 480 and 520 bhp. The drive will go to the rear wheels only.
Alfa Romeo 6C is rumoured to see the daylight in 2017 and the company will reportedly build only a few thousand units.
This Alfa Romeo 6C is expected to go up against the likes of Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911.
