Volkswagen Beetle Dune enters production in 2016

The German automaker has confirmed that it has decided to put its Beetle Dune into production in 2016. Based on the Beetle Dune Concept from the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, the car is expected to come in both coupe and convertible versions.

There are few differences between the concept version and the production version. The most notable are the extra 2 inches of ground clearance and 1.1 inch wider track that the production model of Volkswagen Beetle Dune has received, as well as redesigned front and rear ends and some interior upgrades.
