Spy photos have been taken of the new Volkswagen Golf Variant GTD. The GTD has been caught on camera wearing no camouflage.
The model in question is bound to ride on the MQB platform. It benefits from a sport-tuned suspension and an aggressive body kit. The upcoming GTD also features a honeycomb mask, tinted headlights and five-spoke alloy wheels.
Nothing is official as of yet, but previous reports suggest that the cabin of this car model will receive some updates such as a sport steering wheel, sports seats and stainless steel pedals.
Volkswagen Golf Variant GTD will most likely be powered by a 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder engine rated at 184 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, connected to a six-speed manual transmission. The hatchback version is able to run the full 0-100 km/h track in 7.5 seconds, but the wagon is expected to be a little slower.
There is no official word on the launch of Volkswagen Golf Variant GTD, but the car may be introduced to the public towards the end of the year.
