According to latest reports, the 2014 Los Angeles auto show will welcome the next generation Acura ILX. The vehicle in question has recently been teased ahead of its public reveal next month in the United States.
Details are limited at the moment, but the 2016 Acura ILX is believed to adopt a new look as several upgrades in design are expected both at the exterior as well as on the interior.
The teaser image doesn’t reveal much, except for the revised taillights. The Civic-based ILX is expected to draw some cues from the new TLX including the latest AcuraLink infotainment.
On the mechanical front, the upcoming Acura ILX will likely be powered by a new and more potent engine and the power will reportedly go to all wheels.
There’s still no word on pricing, but the ILX is the company’s most affordable compact luxury sedan on the market, so it should come at a competitive price. The car will go up against the likes of Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and BMW 3 series.
