Nissan`s luxury marque Acura, builds exquiste models that are extremely apreciated in the United States and one of them in the latest iteration is the 2018 Acura ILX, now arriving on the US market with a new trim, called ILX Special Edition.

The 2018 Acura ILX Special Edition is already available in dealerships countrywide, coming with price tag of $28,900. The new trim will join the rest of the ILX range, with prices to be revealed below.

ILX Premium – $30,100
ILX Premium A-Spec – $32,100
ILX Tech Plus – $33,100
ILX Tech Plus A-Spec – $35,100.

All variants come with standard features, adding as well extra tweaks that set each one apart. In our case, the ILX Special Edition comes with the Acura JewelEye LED headlights, multi-view rearview camera, auto on/off headlights, one touch power moonroof and security systems.

Inside, the cabin welcomes you with leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, keyless smart entry with puch-button start, 5-inch Multi-View Display and Bluetooth HandsFree Link 5.

In the engine department, all trim grades including the 2018 Acura ILX Special Edition come with the same 2.4-liter direct-injected DOHC i-VTEC flat-four cylinder, developing a good 200 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The engine is also hooked to a Sequential SportShift eight-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission.

Despite the impressive power and torque, the Acura ILX also returns EPA fuel of 25 mpg city/35 highway/29 combined.

In case you don`t fancy the Special Edition and need something more standout, then you can also choose the A-Spec trim, this one adding plenty of new tweaks at the exterior as well as inside the cabin.

The trim`s main highlights refer to 18-inch ten-spoke machined alloy wheels, A-Spec logos, decklid spoiler, front fog lights and side sill garnishes. Inside, the cabin features plenty of new high-end materials – perforated black Lux Suede seat inserts, grey interior stitching, aluminum brake and throttle pedals, Premium Black interior with black headliner and so on.
