A few teaser images of the upcoming Lexus LF-C2 Concept have surfaced online.
The vehicle in question, which is basically a drop-top variant of the Lexus RC Coupe, is making public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Up front, the Lexus LF-C2 Concept features an aggressive front fascia with a revised grille, a massive front splitter and new headlights with LED daytime running lights, while on the inside the model gets a steering wheel with two touchscreens.
No details are offered about the car’s powertrain, but power could be provided by a 3.5-litre V6 engine also found on the RC 350 where is produces 306 hp or a 5.0-litre V8 engine from the RC F packing 467 hp and 389 lb-ft of torque.
Reports suggest that the Japanese company will launch a production version of the Lexus LF-C2 Concept to compete against the Audi A5 open-top and BMW 4-Series convertible, but we will not see it on the road before 2016 or even 2017.
