Nissan has recently released the official video with its latest creation created in a partnership with well-known truck specialist Arctic Trucks. The new truck is based on the Navara and has been named Navara Off-Roader AT32, with the model being highlighted in the video below.
As the carmaker claims, the 2018 Nissan Navara Off-Roader AT32 “is the most capable Navara” that the company has ever sold, coming with a “mix of enhanced off-road ability and upgraded exterior features” that “will appeal to a new audience of both professional and recreational pickup customers,” to quote Senior Vice President of Nissan Europe Ken Ramirez.
To create such a special ride, the specialists from AT have had to make some visible improvements to the 2018 Navara. First, they lifted the car`s ride height by 20mm and added a front differential locker (which works in tandem with the standard rear locking differential) and a snorkel on the A-pillar. All these features make it extremely efficient while wading through 800 mm of water.
Next, they took off the standard wheels and installed 17-inch rims which are wrapped in massvie 32-inch off-road tires, along with new wheel arch extensions, underbody protection plates which cover the engine, propeller, fuel tank and a new transmission.
With the new wheels, the 2018 Nissan Navara AT32 is now ready to leave its competition behind, as it comes with higher ground clearance than the Chevy Colorado ZR2, (a ground clearance of 8.9 inches), Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, or the new Ford Ranger Raptor (with a ground clearance of 11.1 inches).
There is also the standard safety features like Hill Start Assist or Descent Control that make the mid-size pickup an exceptional ride ready to conquer the highest hills.
