The 2017 Tokyo Motor Show recently taking place in Japan was a good opportunity for Asian auto brands to demonstrate how good they are in building new cars, and Toyota`s luxury division Lexus was there to present new F editions, all wrapped in matte grey and coming with more exquisite design lines.
We are looking here at the Lexus RC F and GS F special editions, which were also created to celebrate ten years of existence of the F brand on the market. More than that, both were also set to arrive on markets like Australia, starting with the half quarter of 2018.
Both models come with the exclusive matte grey body wrap and a couple new enhancements at the body style. Peter McGregor, CEO at Lexus Australia, better describes the cars` new looks and performance, stating that:
“These two special versions of our acclaimed RC F coupe and GS F sedan will heighten the performance aura around the Lexus brand with their unique styling, performance features and exclusivity. They have raised the sports image of Lexus by creating sports cars that can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to have fun driving, regardless of skill.”
Basically, we are dealing here with the RC F and GS F disguises, only twkead with some new exterior highlights – bespoke front dampers, new blacked-out alloy wheels which complement the matte grey body wrap, updated taillights and a couple of more.
Inside, the cabins retain the same design philosophy as the standard Lexus RC F and GS F, adding a ”heat blue” feature to spicy up things a little bit.
In the engine department, the Lexus RC F & GS F special editions retain the same 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. However, we don`t have any knowledge on the kind of power it will come with. We surely hope it will be more than 351 kW and 530 Nm of torque from the previous generation models.
Lexus also announced that only 500 examples will be offered worldwide, with Australa getting just a small percentage out of the entire lor. Stay tuned for more details in the upcoming period!
